During this academic year, the Department of History conducted various events including lectures, workshops, heritage walks, visits to many monuments of historical importance, and several competitions which helped the students to enhance their historical knowledge and widened their cultural awareness by fostering critical thinking.
Every year the history department conducts its much-awaited cultural fest, “YUGATAR”. This year it was organised on 22nd & 23rd April. The event commenced with a lecture session delivered by the distinguished archaeologist, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Manjul, Additional-Director General, ASI. Following this, several events took place concurrently, including an Open-Mic Competition, Photography Competition cum Exhibition, and a Quiz competition. On Day 2, the department organised a Heritage Walk to the Qutub Minar Complex, which was attended by around 40 students.
