Van Mahotsav (28th July 2021)
Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi celebrated ‘Van Mahotsav’ as an event undercelebrations of 75 years of India’s Independence –‘AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav’. As per the notifications issued by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, all educational institutions have been advised to celebrate ‘AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav’ by organizing a plethora of events viz. conference/seminar/symposium/ essay competition and related activities/events in their respective campuses as part of the year-long celebrations. As per the monthly schedule of events the institutions are advised to celebrate Van Mahotsav in July 2021. Towards this endeavor, the college celebrated ‘Van Mahotsav’ on 28th July 2021 and distributed saplings among the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. A plantation drive also took place in the college premises, where around 20 plants were planted.
NCC cadets, Gardening Committee, non-teaching and teaching staffs of the college also participated in the event to make it a success.
