                                                                                SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH COLLEGE

The Northeast Students’ Society of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College was created in 2012. Students who hail from the seven North Eastern states who are enrolled in any course in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College are its members. The objectives of the society include:

  • To address any kind of grievances faced by the students of the college who come from the North Eastern states.
  • To facilitate awareness among the students from the rest of India, of vibrant, diverse and rich culture of the north eastern states.
  • To encourage the students from north eastern states to actively participate in various events and activities organized by various societies in the college.

As a society, we organize our annual cultural festival COALESCE to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, traditions  and diversity of the north-eastern region. Through various events and programs, we aim to create awareness about the north-eastern region and its remarkable contributions to the tapestry of our nation’s culture.

Beyond celebrating our own culture, we also actively engage with the rest of the college community in other platforms, fostering a greater understanding of the region and breaking stereotypes. The society also caters to the needs of the students and provides unwavering support, guidance and assistance whenever needed. From academic queries to personal challenges, we ensure that no student feels alone in their journey in the college.
