Created recently with the objective of recognising the concerns of students belonging to gender and sexual minorities and encouraging a discourse around feminist concerns in the campus, the Queer-Feminist Collective is a dynamic association of students. The collective has 3 visions to fulfill: to create a safe space and support group for queer students, to represent feminist concerns, and to encourage the discourse of allyship.
Since its inception, it has conducted a myriad of activities and events with the intention of community-building and generating awareness. Working without a rigid hierarchical and essentially democratic structure, the collective has organized several guest webinars, documentary screenings, and open discussions. It also regularly conducts listening circles and intra-collective events to ensure that the collective remains a safe space for LGBTQIA+ students of the college.
